The Research Committee (Special Account for Research Funds) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the framework of the project “Multiscale modelling and characterization to optimize the manufacturing processes of Organic Electronics materials and devices (CORNET)” funded under the Horizon 2020 Call NMBP-07-2017 of European Commission, with Academic Head, Prof. Stergios Logothetidis, Professor of Physics, invites candidates to submit applications for nine (9) positions (through the award of a work contract), until 31/12/2020 with a total anticipated remuneration 140.200,00 € (VAT and taxes included).  You can find more info here (rc.auth website).

zero defect manu ws

Zero-defects manufacturing (ZDM) or is an emerging paradigm aiming at going beyond traditional six-sigma approaches in highly technology-intensive and strategic manufacturing sectors through knowledge-based approaches. It’s about “first time right, and always right”.

ZDM brings most added-value and benefits at mass customization and one-of-a-kind production as well as a complex and changeable manufacturing context. ZDM can radically increase productivity at multi-stage/single-stage levels and can bring system-level improvements at the shop floor.

ZDM puts together monitoring and control, inter-stage correlations, multi-sensor information, and advanced analytics, in order to act on defects repair, in-line reworks and proactive prevention.

This zero-defect manufacturing event brings together key stakeholders that will shape the future landscape of European manufacturing.

bioelectronic wearable ws

Τhis workshop presents breakthroughs and innovations in smart bioelectronics and flexible & wearable systems – two important areas of Key Digital Technologies. Market leaders, innovators, researchers, professional and user organizations will discuss how Europe can keep its global leadership in these areas.

The high-level participants will discuss and provide recommendations on the technology and market challenges and opportunities, and, how to maximize the societal and economic benefits of these technologies in addressing health, aging, agri-food, security, environment & climate change.

Prof. S. Logothetidis, Director of Nanotechnology Lab LTFN, will participate in the panel of the Workshop on 22 October presenting the Open Innovation Environment for the optimization of manufacturing processes and fast business up-take, and International networks and clustering of the industry covering the entire value chain.

LTFN will participate at the 45th International Conference on Micro & Nano Engineering (MNE 2019) taking place on 23-26 September 2019, in Rhodes, Greece. You can find more info here.

LTFN is participating at the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair taking place in Thessaloniki. Come visit us either at our booth, Pavilion No 10 (Energy) Stand 23, or at our stand inside Pavillion No 12 (Digital Greece).
You can check out some of the highlights of the event so far, as well as the visit of the Greek Parliament's party - Movement for Change (KINAL), Mrs. Fofi Gennimata. During her visit Mrs. F. Gennimata was briefed on the lab's activities and success stories.

Log Files
