The Research Committee (Special Account for Research Funds) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the framework of the project “Smart in-line metrology and control for boosting the yield and quality of high-volume manufacturing of Organic Electronics (SmartLine)” funded under the Horizon 2020 Call FOF08-2017 of European Commission, with Academic Head, Prof. Stergios Logothetidis, Professor of Physics, invites candidates to submit applications for two (2) positions (through the award of a work contract), until 28/02/2020 (and in the case of an extension of the project until its expiration with a corresponding adjustment of the amount) with a total anticipated remuneration 45.000,00€ (VAT and taxes included). LTFN participated in the 1st Organic & Printed Electronics Conference for the Middle-East and North Africa (Ope.mena), held on January 29-30, at the Grand Hyatt, Dubai, UAE. Prof. S. Logothetidis gave a keynote talk about the "Intelligent Nano-Manufacturing Of Flexible And Printed Organic Electronics". The CORNET Month 12 Consortium meeting was successfully held in GRANTA facilities in Cambridge, UK. The first version of the Open Innovation Environment Platform has been launched and will be constantly optimized for its widespread population! Emphasis is drawn into integrating Industry needs in the triangle of Characterization, Fabrication and Modelling of OEs.

At the 7th Korea-EU NanoWorkshop Dr. Argiris Laskarakis presented an overview of the activities, pilot lines and in-line characterization facilities for Organic & Printed Electronics in Greece.

He outlined the connection of OEs characterization, modelling and manufacturing data to industry applications (automotive, energy and construction) which is achieved in the Open Innovation Environment Platform being developed in the Horizon 2020 Project CORNET. The optimization of the manufacturing processes of Organic & Printed Electronics devices taking place in the Horizon 2020 Project Smartline were also thoroughly outlined.
